The Beauty of Honor

Morning Notes: When Familiarity Leads to Dishonor and Disrespect. Pride Breeds Dishonor, Disrespect, Rebellion, and Lack of Genuine Appreciation.

I believe every person is worthy of honor because they were created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27). Honor does not mean complete agreement, nor worship. It is the ability to see the worth of a human being and treat them as though they matter. Honor is also seeing through the lenses of God and having the ability to assess someone by the spirit.

There is a proverb that states familiarity can breed contempt. I believe familiarity can breed dishonor, or lack of value for someone or something. When Jesus began ministry, some of the people around him stated, “Isn’t that Joseph’s son?” They had no grid for Jesus as Messiah. So they treated him with dishonor, disrespect, and disdain. They could not see who Jesus was because they had their own ideas and concepts.

Pride breeds dishonor. Why? Because pride is an elevation of our opinions above God’s. Pride is not just puffing our chest out and being cocky. Pride is an exaltation of self above of God. Dishonor says, “I know who this person is and I will treat them according to my assessment.” The problem with this thinking is that God values everyone and often has a different opinion that we do. Jesus stated, “Whatever you have done to the least of them, you have done unto me.”

Dishonor can also be a manifestation of an inward lack of value for self. We can only give away what we possess. If I view myself as royalty in the eyes of God, then I will honor others as deeply cherished by God. If I view myself as a bottom feeder, possess insecurity, then I may struggle with seeing the value of others because I do not value myself.

Pride pretends to be a friend, yet it is our greatest foe. God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. God works on behalf of the yielded and surrendered to bring forth even greater honor. It is the person who elevates God’s opinion above theirs who receives more honor.

We see in part and know in part. God sees everything fully. God knows our end from our beginning. God knows who we really are. God knows who our neighbor is and the gifts/talents He placed inside of them. God sees clearly.

It can also be quite easy to not value what is familiar. Oh that is just Susie, she will always be here. It is possible to lose value for someone or something that is steady, constant, and available. Sometimes the best way to appreciate something or someone is to go without it for awhile. Sometimes our greatest appreciation comes in hindsight.

Regardless of how we feel, a Kingdom principle is honor. The bible says the following.

Be devoted to tenderly loving your fellow believers as members of one family. Try to outdo yourselves in respect and honor of one another,~Romans 12:10.

The key to honor is abiding (remaining) in Jesus and receiving the love and honor God has for us. We give away what we possess. If we have not received the honor God gives us, we cannot give that away. May we know how much God loves us and then honor/love others.

Warmly,

Hidden in Jesus

Enjoy being hidden. Find home in God’s heart. ❤️

I love my cave. I actually prefer being in hidden seasons with Jesus. I never prayed to be seen nor to have a platform. My prayer was to be one of God’s very best friends. I think He is the greatest gift to humanity.

In hidden seasons you can simply enjoy God. No one is looking at you nor looking for you. You have an intimacy no one asks about and often they don’t even see you. Yet God sees you.

His eyes are the only ones that matter and He is the best thing.

Oh my, I could go on for days about God. Don’t forget to ENJOY God. Don’t forget to find yourself lost in His gaze. There is more pleasure in God than anything He created. There is more joy in God than any human.

He is worth knowing and pursuing…to say, “I want you God. I desire you. Here I am, laying all I am before your feet, to be swept up in love and intimacy. You are who my heart longs for…more of you.”

May we pursue Him. If no one on earth is looking at you, God is. Look back into those eyes of fire and let the intensity of that love wreck you!!!

Love,

Erin Lamb

God & Mental/Emotional Health

Mental health is such a buzz word in the news. When mass shootings happen, people are quick to point to mental illness. I believe it moves beyond just mental impairment to emotional issues which link to spiritual issues. The spirit, body, and soul (mind, will, emotions) are connected.

Part of what I do is help those who suffer from deep emotional/mental wounds or impairment. This morning I shared with my online community a testimony from a session this month. I hope to raise awareness and help others.

God & the Dissociative Person (Multiple Personalities)-Testimony of 11 Alters Coming Together To Make Someone Whole.

I don’t do SOZO or regular deliverance. I state this because people ask, not to downplay anyone else’s methods. Most of the people who see me have been severely abused to the point of fracture/forming a split that holds their painful memory/trauma. These parts of them are quite real. You can scream, command, throw scripture at them, say be whole and they remain right where they are. Why? They have a purpose. They were created out of gross trauma or abuse to hold the painful memories for the person so they can function. The issue arises when these dissociative parts are not healed and their negative emotions are not healed.

Over the past few years I have seen numerous people. The best candidates are normally the ones who do not know me. The best results come when a person can be transparent without fear. Of the 2% who claimed feeling worse afterwards (1 out of many stated this) or little breakthrough-they knew me. So I learned to only do sessions with people who know me if God led, otherwise source them out to a mentor. I believe 95%-98% is better than 0% or the ~25% breakthrough with cognitive therapy.

I was given permission to share this testimony.

I had someone who had struggled their entire life feeling disconnected, hearing voices, struggled with connection with God and others. The person was wounded at a very young age and then repeatedly assaulted as they grew up. They grew to believe they were the reason predators targeted them. They also were told their beautiful exterior was the reason for the assaults (this is a lie). The first soul wounding at age 4 opened the door for future assault. Evil intruders then worked to attract more assault in the future. If you have no grid for the spiritual world, understand there are angels and demons. Demons are evil and work to bring death, destruction, pain, abuse, and make bad things worse. The 4 year was exposed to things through a neighbor kid. This brought fear and terror connected to molestation. Fear was activated, never dealt with, and worked to bring more of what the 4 year old feared. One split in personality became 11 splits in personality.

Each split/alter had it’s own pain, trauma, and negative emotions attached. During the sessions God was invited into all the memories. I do not do guided imagery. I ask God to pull forward memories. One by one we encountered different hurting parts of the person. Once the parts were healed of their pain, deliverance occured. Anything attached to those parts was commanded to leave. We then walked through the process of integration.

The person reported after the 10 year old was healed they felt they could connect with God in ways they had not been able to before. The voice they kept hearing left. They felt free and the feeling of disconnection was gone. Once certain memories were healed, God revealed the web of other memories and lies that broke off their life. The person had gone through regular deliverance, self deliverance, and SOZO. They still had 11 personalities at work (alters) and two head spirits (#1 Fear, #Rejection). There were still demons operating in the person’s life. Why? If they are feasting on a soul wound/alter, they are not going anywhere until you get the soul healed.

The person reported they felt integration and it brought clarity, freedom from voices, hope, joy, and they started experiencing breakthrough in the natural. Things that were delayed opened. The home was more peaceful. They experienced peace and freedom from believing everything was their fault. They recovered their voice. A voice that was locked up during abuse. They reported freedom after seeing things from God’s perspective. God hates abuse and His revelation of love is powerful.

I have heard people say, “Jesus did not do soul healing,” I disagree. The very presence of Jesus is healing for people. To touch a leper-outcast is healing from rejection. To stop for a Samaritan woman and treat her with kindness is healing. Women were not highly respected and Jesus demonstrated honor. The bible says Jesus did so many great things the volumes could not contain them. Instead of focusing on what Jesus did or did not do, I recommend asking the Holy Spirit to partner with us to help people. Jesus did not fly in airplanes or ride in cars, yet we do. It would be silly to say, “Well, Jesus never rode in a car or on a plane, so I won’t either!” God invites us into relationship. The Bible reveals God, and gives us a blueprint. We are then to abide in relationship with God. We don’t violate the word, we also don’t limit God to a time of riding donkeys and wearing sandals.

This person stated they stepped into a new level of freedom. They stated they often felt they were lost inside themselves and could not put the pieces together. One by one each part was healed, delivered, then integrated. They stated they never felt whole before. Today they do.

God loves to heal. God is good. It’s His heart to make us whole.

    Happy Holidays!

Practicing the habit of giving thanks is good for us. Some say gratitude is the best attitude.

I am thankful for you! Thank you for following this blog and/or following the author page. You are appreciated.

I hope during this season you are filled with joy and gratitude.

I Am Sending You Love This Holiday!

For some, the holidays are a time of stress or sadness. Some are facing challenges and uncertainty. If that’s you, I am thinking of you. You are absolutely not alone. My hopes are your soul is saturated with hope; hope there are better days ahead than behind you!

    Perspective Gained From Street Mission

One of the things I do on the side is volunteer at the free clinic and I take out teams to feed and clothe the homeless monthly. This past weekend we encountered a man eating out of the garbage. He was so hungry. He was grateful to receive several sandwiches and a bookbag full of food/supplies. I thought to myself, “How fortunate we are, those who are not eating out of the garbage and have family or friends that would take us in during crisis.”

I spent part of October in Cambodia serving in the slums. Children and adults live amongst the garbage and have much less than they need.

The man we encountered in the park lost his job, was diagnosed with terminal cancer, and was living on the streets-eating out of the garbage.

There is a quote I love, it says the following-“If we cannot be thankful for what we have, we can give thanks for what we have been spared.”

I tell you these two stories in case you are searching for something to give thanks for this season. I certainly do not wish to minimize any struggles you may be facing.

God cares about every detail of our lives, whether it’s homelessness, losing a loved one, joblessness, hurt, betrayal, tragedy, gross disappointment, or just loneliness.

God cares! God sees!! God loves you!!!

Here is a prayer and encouragement I placed on Facebook today:Encouragement & Prayer Video .

I hope you are blessed by the 2.5 minute encouragement.

I hope you seize the moment this holiday and enjoy it! I hope you look for someone else to bless and help. Sometimes it’s in looking outside our circumstances to another that we find greater perspective.

This year has presented a few challenges personally and in my family. Continuing to look for others to serve has brought great perspective. I am not eating out of the garbage. I don’t have cancer nor have to sleep outside. I can thank God for what I have been spared and have compassion on those suffering.

What are you thankful for this season? Write it down or speak it out.

I am speaking life over you. I am declaring goodness over your life.

May this be one of the best seasons ever! 🙂

    Created for Wholeness!

Part of what I do, aside from write books, is help people get healed from wounds of gross trauma, abuse, abandonment, rejection, and deep soul wounding.

I never thought I would be doing what I do. I simply could not understand why there were so many wounded people in churches and in the world who were not getting better from popping pills or cognitive (talk) therapy or just reciting the Bible. Mostly, I wondered why some people were physically healed and others were not.

God invited me on a several year journey into studying the soul (mind, will, and emotions). The body, soul, and spirit are connected. An injury to one can impact the others. I saw there were people with deep emotional wounds from trauma, abuse, mistreatment who were suffering greatly in their bodies.

After years of training with Dr. Kraft and Dr. Bitcon, I embarked on teaching, training, and facilitating sessions with people to help them step into greater freedom with God.

I have worked with people who are highly dissociative (have multiple personalities) and those so traumatized parts of their lives have been limited. I love seeing God bring freedom.

I also do a yearly MasterClass to train others to do what I do. There are loads of traumatized and wounded people in the world who need help, freedom, and hope. I have even used these methods with children.

God loves to heal! We were created for wholeness, not fractured living.

    We Can Change the World!

When we look at the news we see people fighting, mass shootings, hate crimes, rumors of war, poverty, injustice, bullying, name calling, and so many things that are not loving our neighbor. We can blame mental illness or look at the real issue, insecurity. We will not love our neighbor if we do not love ourselves. At the root of all abuse, lack of value for life, racism, sexism, and mistreatment of others is insecurity! There is a cure that does not involve popping pills and years of therapy! Read more here!!
