Jesus, The Resurrected King!

They look for you in a tomb,

yet you are not there.

They look for you in a temple, cathedral, or building,

yet they are not your home.

You dwell in the hearts of those who believe in you,

place their faith in you,

and have received the gift of salvation.

You did not remain on a cross,

nor are you bound by our earthly realm.

You rose with all power.

You took possession of the keys of death and hell.

You are the omnipresent one,

fully abiding in those who believe.

You are also seated at the right hand of our Father.

You reign supreme!

Who on the earth or in the second heaven can contend with you?

Though mankind puffs up their importance,

and parades themselves in pride,

without the breath of God,

we cease to be alive.

We are not the center of it all,

you are.

The centrality of the Gospel is you!

You are more than an expression,

more than a historical figure,

You are LORD!

King of kings.

Lord of lords.

Almighty God.

Holy and majestic you are.

There is nothing

and no one on earth more powerful than you!

I praise you with exuberant praise!

Not just today,

every single day.

My heart cries out,

“I love you. Thank you. I praise your glorious name.”

Yeshua.

Jesus.

Messiah.

Everlasting and eternal God.

You are the Alpha and Omega.

You will return and judge the world.

You are perfect justice and mercy combined.

You will come and set all the wrong things right.

Jesus,

anointed one,

I give thanks to our Father for all that you are.

May we turn our eyes towards you,

the author and finisher of our faith.

May we cast our idols at your feet,

for there is no god besides you.

Jesus,

the RISEN one!

Death could not hold you.

The grave could not keep you.

You are the risen King and Lord!

Reign over our cities, states, and nations.

Pour out your glory over our world.

Forgive us for our many transgressions,

let heaven invade our world.

It only takes one word from you,

to shift dead things into living things.

Revive us again.

Awaken us to the Father’s love and purposes again.

Move us past seeking you for selfish gain,

to surrendering all that we are,

to all that you are!

Give us heavenly perspectives,

and courage to move as you move,

and speak as you speak.

Move us past comfortable and passive Christianity.

Revive us again,

with heavenly fire and passion.

Renew our first love,

may you be primary

and seeking your Kingdom

which is superior to all.

May our praise and adoration of you be continual,

not just during feasts or holidays.

May we bow our hearts before you,

and love you more than anyone or anything!

Love in Christ,

Erin Lamb

If Jesus Took On Flesh Today

If Jesus took on flesh today…

Jesus had no outward beauty to draw people to Him, I wonder if He walked into our services today if we would greet Him.

A middle eastern Jew, with brown skin, a carpenter’s son-would we include Him?

Humble, not ego driven, the one who would choose to wash feet instead of push His way to a platform-would we even notice Him?

Loving, honoring, and respectful of all people-would we try to persuade Him to love who we love and dislike who we dislike?

Interested in the least of these, the poor, the outcast, sinners/prostitutes/tax collectors, would we join their table or insist He leave them to join ours?

Non political, focused on representing heaven on earth/the Father’s will, would we try to convince Him to join our political party and campaign for our rights?

Unmarried and without a girlfriend, would He be banned from ministering in our churches or restricted to the least amount of responsibility in leadership? Would He be consistently pressured into finding a mate or allowed to be who the Father created Him to be?

Insistent on loving His enemies, would we join Him in His quest to build bridges instead of cliques?

Moved by the tears of the broken, would we lay down our pride and selfishness to sit with the broken?

Deeply moved with compassion to heal the sick, would we put aside the miracles are a side show to simply love the person right in front of us?

Taking the Gospel to those in need, would we join Jesus or simply watch from the sidelines or encourage Him to do everything?

Moved by the heart of the Father He would rally others to do the same. Would we join Jesus or tell Him, “I am not called to do that? Give me the assignment where I am most comfortable?”

Would we join Jesus or deny Jesus?

Would we follow Jesus or just be a fan of Jesus?

Would we cast aside our selfish ambition to truly be a disciple who begins to look like Jesus?

Would we change the world with Jesus or simply pray Jesus do something?

It is one thing to profess love for Jesus, it is quite another lay down our lives for Jesus.

Would Jesus be Lord, or an ala cart add on to enhance our lives yet cost us nothing?

Would we be willing to follow the loving King or simply remain in the stadiums cheering with our “I love Jesus” merch?

Are we spectators or lovers?

Sold out or only in it for fire insurance?

In love or in like with Jesus?

Love will cause us to lay our pride and selfishness aside to look out for our neighbor, the least, last, lost, broken.

Love will call us out of our comfort zones and onto the frontlines with Jesus.

Love will mend us over and over when the attacks of darkness seem relentless.

Love will propel us into a glorious heaven centered destiny where His name, the name above all names is glorified.

Love dissolves our prejudice and man made boundary lines.

Love destroys hatred, bigotry, and sexism and loudly proclaims, “In Christ all are one.” One Body, one church, one Lord!

Love pushes past political lines to say, “You too are made in the image of God.”

Love pushes past “Me first” and lives for “God first! God be glorified!!”

Love breaks the shackles of “Us vs Them,” and builds a table prepared with a feast to say, “The King loves you. I will treat you with dignity. Come to Jesus.”

Love seeks to reconcile the world to itself.

Love is not a concept, not a noun but a verb.

Love has a name. It’s Jesus!

May we seek Jesus, know Jesus, abide in Jesus, focus on Jesus, exalt Jesus, and align with the heart of Jesus.

I See You Poem-Love Letter from Papa God (Book Excerpt)

I have not posted anything from the book lately, so I thought it might be time. In a busy world one may feel invisible or that God’s love is a blanket love. Both are false. God sees you. He loves you. He cares about every detail of your life. He also loves each of us as if there were only one of us. His heart cries out, “I see you. I know you. I love you. I will always love you.”

I See You

Written by Erin Lamb (Copyright 2011)

“A Love Letter from Abba.”

I see you,

when the walls have closed in,

the winds have raged too long,

and your heart is tattered and worn.

I see you

in your moments of desperation,

when all else has failed you

and your heart says, “I just can’t

take it anymore.

I see you,

when your tears are so great

they have drowned out faith

and left their stains on your face.

I see you,

when you feel isolated and alone.

I see you,

when the doors have slammed

and you don’t know where to turn.

I see you,

when others seem to look away.

I see your distress

and your shattered dreams.

I see the aches and the distress

that you carry from day-to-day.

I see you.

I know you.

I am near to you.

I see you.

I love you,

and I can heal your every pain.

I see you.

I desire you to know;

My love can fill every vacant area in

your heart.

I have been here to love you from

the start.

I see you;

the things inside you

that even you can’t see.

My love pierces into the depths of

where you need mended,

your heart tended,

and the places where the healing

needs to take place.

I see you,

and only I can make you fulfilled in

Me.

There is no other love that will take

you to the highest heights,

so you overflow

and continue to spill over with love,

joy, and peace.

The sincere desire of My heart is for

you to know

that I will never let you go.

My love for you will not fail.

My love for you will not end.

My love for you is here for the

taking.

So when your heart aches,

look up and notice My arms

reaching for you.

I am here waiting to hold you in an

affectionate embrace.

I see you,

and I love you.

I will love you, always.

Enter My Heart (Love Poem from Abba’s Heart)

The love the Father has for us far exceeds our wildest imagining. His love beats passionately in His chest for all of humanity. Day after day, moment by moment, His heart beats with intense, unquenchable love.

I hope this poem blesses you.

Enter My Heart

Written September 10th, 2016

Can you hear Me, calling out Your name?

From the deep cavities of My heart I am beckoning you.

Come closer.

Come deeper.

Come on in; enter into My heart.

Come into My garden, lavish in life and flourishing by love.

It is our garden; the garden I have custom designed for you.

I have sown My seeds of beauty, tossed them freely into fertile soil.

I have watered each seed intently, radiated My brilliance on them all.

What I have sown and grown, it was done for you.

So you may see the love and care I have put forth for you.

Come frolic in My fields of glory, free of worry and concern.

Come bask in the wonder of My Presence, I desire to be with you most of all.

Come through the gate of My Son, and keep returning here to this  place of love.

There is no need to pretend or perform here.

I am your safe place, your home.

You are cherished, adored, and celebrated here.

You are loved for who you are, not what you do nor what you have done.

My love I freely give to you, pouring out all that I am so you may know the profound depths of My love.

Come stand under the rushing waterfalls here, Living Waters to wash away pain, wounds, insecurity, and sorrow.

You will be made new, restored, and rejuvinated here; here in My love.

Enter into My garden, leave your footprints on the soft floor.

Paint your murals with dew saturated petals on the garden walls.

I wish for you to live here, in the garden of My heart.

Can you hear My song here? The one written just for you.

Will you dance to the melody? I will sing My love song over and over for you.

You are My beloved. The one I sent My Son for.

You are the focus of My affection, for you I possess such abounding love.

So come My dear one, come.

How I long to be with you. One moment will not suffice.

I wish to be with you for all of your life, and on into eternity.

You were created for love, created by love, and My love for you is beyond all human logic and reasoning.

My love, come.

My beloved, come.

My child, come.

Here I am standing firm in love, eager to surpass your wildest dreams.

May God bless you, keep you, and His face shine brilliantly on you. In this season and in every season, may you and I abide in the heart of God. How He loves us so. Oh how He loves us.

You are prayed for and deeply loved.

Intimacy (God’s Love Letter)

Intimacy (God’s Love Letter)

How He loves us so! Hope this encourages your hearts

In the collection of My imagination, there you were, there you are.

You are My chosen one.

You were and are of divine design.

As I gathered My thoughts, as I smiled with delight, I was thinking of you.

You are the one I love, the one I gave My most treasured possession for.

I gave My Son, My image bearer.

He is the physical manifestation of My steadfast love and overflowing compassion.

How I love Him!

How I love you! I exchanged My love for your love.

I gave My highest, My best, for your freedom, for relationship.

My Son gave His life to set the record to rest.

Not guilty, not guilty in My Son.

For His sacrifice pays the penalty that once separated you from Me.

He paid for compete liberty; liberty from the bondage and strongholds of sin. He paid for intimacy.

I’m daily pursuing intimacy.

The deep longing of My heart is for you and I to be one, together in complete and unbreakable unity.

I so desire to unveil to you My glorious mysteries.

I’ve laid a pure and rich path before you that leads directly to Me.

Come dwell here.

Come rest here.

Come find your true identity here; for I know who you truly are.

Do you know Me?

Do you know who I am?

I see more than the world’s sin and tragedies.

I see people I love, those I adore, those I paid the highest price for.

I see those adopted into My family and those who’ve chosen to live independent of Me, those I cannot yet call My own.

Some will choose to live without Me for all of eternity, separated from My love, peace, presence, and joy.

I so long to embrace the entire world through My Beloved Son.

Yet many will reject My love, and choose to leave Me forsaken.

However, won’t  you come?

Come through faith in My Son.

Come through the torn veil straight into My arms.

Won’t you come?

Come dance to the marvelous melodies that the angels sing.

Come sing along.

Won’t you come?

Deeper and deeper down the winding staircase of My love.

As you continue your journey you will find your heart softening again and again.

Come with Me!

Allow Me to reveal love’s true meaning.

My love will overtake you, saturate you, bathe you, cleanse you, and most of all My love will free you.

Free you of every shackle and every chain.

Free you of every insecurity and pain.

Won’t you come?

Come frolic in the ocean of My love and compassion.

Allow the tidal waves of My relentless love to crash against the worn shores of your heart and soul.

Come feast from My banquet table.

Here you will never grow hungry and you will thirst no more.

For I fill to overflowing…

I give and then I give abundantly more.

There’s no end to My provision.

You cannot exhaust My resources or My love.

It has no end.

I have no end.

I am eternal and so is My love for you.

I am the One who loves you with an everlasting love, a love that will never cease to love.

Won’t you come?

Rest your head on My shoulder, find peace in My arms.

I long to love you, and to be known by you.

I desire for your heart to beat in tandem with Mine.

I long to never be apart.

Intimacy is My heart’s cry.

Oh for you to sincerely know Me, as your best friend who will endure with faithful, unending love.

I want to be with you more than you could ever want to be with Me.

This is My heart’s cry for continual intimacy.

A habitation where My Spirit occupies every part of you and reveals My truth, My wisdom, My nature, My love.

So won’t you come?

Come away with Me into the deep recesses of My heart.

You were made for Me.

Let Me love you and fill to overflowing every empty place.

The King’s Table (Love Poem for The Bride of Christ)

The King’s Table (written by Erin Lamb inspired by Jesus)👑

My Bride, My love.
I’ve invited you to a continual feast at My Table.

To dine with Me.

To meet with Me.

To be with Me.

My Beloved,

The one I gave My life for,

And the one My heart beats passionately for.

I made you for Me.

You are of an elegant design.

Handcrafted.

An original masterpiece.

I see great beauty when I look into your heart.

I see a treasure

Made for Me.

I love you with an everlasting love.

It is a love that existed before you

And it will continue on into eternity!

I am rejoicing over you.

Singing you love songs.

Songs the Angels also sing.

My Bride, My love.

I have prepared a place for us.

Here in Paradise.

Where the radiance of My Father

Fills every crevice with His Brilliance and beauty.

I have prepared a table for us.

It is decadent.

I ask that you come away…

be with Me.

Come away with Me.

Lay aside the troubles of today,

Come feast at the Banquet Table.

My heart erupts with joy,

When you look My way,

When you seek My face.

I am overflowing with love for you.

I am relentlessly pursuing you to love you.

I am moving mountains for you that you cannot see.

I am praying for you continuously.

I gave My life so you and I could be,

Closer,

One,

Together for all of eternity,

Here I am My Beloved,

Desiring you,

Loving you,

Craving more profound intimacy.

I long for you to know Me,

Truly experience all that I am.

I long for you to be with Me.

I don’t take My eyes off you.

You are covered in My Robe of Righteousness.

I gave you My name.

I sealed our covenant with My blood.

Eternal love,

It’s what I pursued you for.

No human being can love you more.

No human being can fill your voids.

It is I who completes,

Who fills to overflowing.

Come drink of My cup and you will not thirst.

Come feast of My bread and you will hunger no more.

Come rest your head on My chest,

Feel My heart beat.

Can you hear it pounding?

It’s a sweet melody.

My love for you is custom to you.

I know everything there is to know about you.

And I am offering you all of Me.

Come My love…

Come…

My Beloved, My Bride, My love…

Come and feast with Me.
You are all so deeply loved.

Papa God I thank You for each person reading this. I ask Your love would saturate each heart. Give us all (myself included) an even deeper revelation of Your incredible love…the height, depth, width, and breath of it. I ask for miracles in our souls. Healing to every single wound. A saturation of Your peace, love, joy, hope, goodness, and mercy. I bind fear, insecurity, worry, doubt, and unbelief. I bind the orphan and pauper spirits. I loose freedom to know our identity in Christ. We are Your beloved children, You said You’d meet ALL our needs according to Your riches in glory. We are not orphans, we are children. We are deeply loved, chosen, set apart by You. Holy Spirit fall afresh on each of us today and everyday, draw us deeper into the secret place…the deep reservoirs of Your heart. In Jesus powerful name, amen.
Love,

I AM Here (Love Poem from Papa God)

Sweet (dulce) friends…I’ve been doing this series on healing the soul. For once the soul is healed, the body receives healing as well. Beloved, I would love for you to prosper even as your soul prospers.

The One who’s produced the greatest healing in my life is God. When people failed to demonstrate the love of God to me, God stepped right in and loved me to health. I know the profound rejection from people truly did me a favor, it pushed me deeper into the arms of the One who truly loved me. I tell you this because maybe you’re still hurting. Maybe your soul aches and you’re tired of advice from people who have no clue the depths of what you’re going through. Maybe you’re wondering, “Why God? Or when God? Or will this pain, suffering, or trial end? Or will I ever be healed?”

Oh dear ones…I’ve been there. Agony that lingered for days, to months, to years…enduring things that at moments made me feel I might just die. Then I’d wake up the next day, with the residual of tears dried to my face. No one but God saw the depths of grief, sorrow, or pain. People love to applaud the overcomer, yet I’m here to say, “God will get you through this. Hang on! I’m praying for you.”

I can’t be with you all and wipe your tears. Yet know I’m thinking of you, praying for you, loving you through intercession, and I hope this poem encourages you. God will get you through this. He did it for me and there were days I had no hope and He’d give me His. Such a Best Friend!

Here I Am

Standing

Overflowing with passionate love

Reaching out for you

The one I love

While you slumber

I’m wide awake

Eagerly anticipating

Meeting with you face to face

I’m singing you love songs

The sweetest melodies

My Son has been praying for you

He loves to intercede

Here I Am

In your storms

In your trials

In your fears

In the midst of your uncertainties

And I’m reaching out

For you to cast your cares on Me

You see I’m stronger

I can handle it all

I’m strong enough

And here when you call

I’m never too busy

My heart is soft towards you

Trust if you move a millimeter in My direction

I’m running miles in yours

I AM here

Today

Every day

Loving you

Wanting you

Seeking you

Pursuing you

Desiring the closest space in your heart

It’s Me

Your loving Father

There’s no one and no love that can take My place

Other loves make promises they cannot fulfill

They promise you love and pleasure

Leaving you emptier still

I AM here

My love will not disappoint you

Or leave you with regrets

Oh for you to know Me…

To know My loves’ great width and depth

You cannot exhaust the magnitude of My love

It existed before you

It’s who I AM

I AM love

I’ve seen the end from the beginning

And you cannot change who I AM

I AM here standing

Standing in love for you

Wanting what’s best for you

Cheering My heart out for you

Singing my song over you

Collecting those tears for you

Moving mountains in love for you

Setting up divine appointments to bless you

Setting up opportunities to grow you

I AM here

And if the entire world turns on you

If they walk away

If they refuse to see the gift

The treasure I’ve created in you

Know you are not alone or abandoned

I AM here

Papa God, I ask for Your unfailing love to flood each heart and soul. Bathe sorrows in Your comfort. Deposit hope for a better tomorrow. I bind every lie of the enemy, for this too shall pass. You are the God of new beginnings. The One who gives life, abundant life and joy. I ask for miracles for each one reading this. I ask for surprises from above! Bless them richly and abundantly. Let them know tangibly that they are deeply loved, seen, heard, and You’re working for their good. I’m Jesus powerful name, amen.

I See the Cross (Beautiful Jesus! Wonderful Savior!)

I normally post weekly to give people space to read and not be overwhelmed by multiple messages a week. My heart was so stirred yesterday to recall what love cost God. You see, genuine love is costly. Anyone can say, “I love you,” yet our actions demonstrate whether those words are true. Only the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob offered up His only begotten Son to take away the sins of the world. Our sin was no shock to God. He already knew we’d choose our way over His. It was in the plan all along that Jesus would die for humanity and rise again with all power.

Only Jesus (God in the flesh) allowed Himself to be humiliated, beaten, mocked, shamed, hurt, rejected, and nailed to a rugged cross to fulfill the Father’s divine plan of redemption. He loved the Father and out of that perfect love and obedience, He went to the cross. He also loves and loved us enough to give His life.

God is love. He knew by no other means could mankind be truly be saved. So, He offered Himself. He took the penalty for us, for the wages of sin is death. God’s wrath was poured out on that cross so we would not have to face eternal damnation.

Have you celebrated His sacrifice today? Thanked Him? Worshipped Him? Will you join me today in celebrating the greatest love anyone will ever know? He’s worthy of continual praise! Thank you Papa God. Thank you Jesus. Thank you Holy Spirit.

Here’s an excerpt from I Thought I Knew What Love Was…hope it leads you to worship. You are SO deeply loved.

I See the Cross
written by Erin Lamb October 25, 2007
Copyright© 2011 may not be reproduced without permission

I see the cross,
so vividly in front of me;
one nail pierced hand on the left
and another on the right.
I see His head hanging there
with the thorns positioned, oh, so tight.
I see the blood
dripping from the pure, spotless Lamb.
I kneel before Him
laying my sins,
all of them,
there.
I see the cross.
I see the beauty of God’s unmerited favor
and His forgiveness.
I see love in the eyes of the One who took my place.
For no greater love lies within a person,
than to surrender His life for His friend.
I see the cross,
that rugged cross;
my freedom was purchased with His blood.
He has been and always will be,
the One who paid the greatest price.
I was purchased by His life’s offering.
I am forever seated with Him in the heavenlies,
and my name is written in His heart.
His children are seated next to Him in heavenly places,
for on the cross He did not remain.
He rose again with all power in His hands.
The same power that raised Him from the dead,
now lives inside of me.
It lives inside of you.
It is that great power at work in us
that changes us from the person we are,
into the person that He chose us to be.
It is that same power that transforms a wicked man
into a righteous man.
I see the cross;
my Deliverer
is hanging there.
He purchased my freedom,
my healing,
and every blessing in the heavenly realm.
Some blessings I see now,
and some are yet to be seen.
I see the cross.
Do you see Him?
Do you celebrate here;
the place where tattered rags of our wretchedness
are exchanged for a robe of righteousness?
This place, the place,
is where scarlet sins are washed white as snow.
This is the place we must go.
The cross is where miracles occur.
The greatest miracle of all
is that God would seek to be reconciled with a sinful world.
I see my Father’s love here.
He cared enough
to send His only Son to save the least, the last, and the lost.
I see the cross,
a reflection of what real love is.
Selfishness died on the cross
when He said, “Father not my desires, but all Your purposes be
accomplished.”
Death was triumphed over on the cross
when He spoke, “It is finished.”
We know that we will see Him again,
and this life here is not the end.
We know that when the trumpet sounds,
the dead in Christ will rise
again.
We know that we will have eternity to worship Him
and eternity to love Him.
I see the cross,
and it is all I must see.
Even if the world around me fades away,
I know that through my Savior I am
reconciled,
restored,
and made complete.
This body may fade and wither,
friends and family may come and go.
I have knelt before that rugged cross enough times to know
that my days are in His hands;
so are His purposes and His plan.
He is the reason I live.
He is the reason I rejoice.
No man would sacrifice his life,
put his very life in jeopardy, for someone who was guilty.
He gave His life,
so we may stand before Him completely unashamed.
Take a moment and look to the cross.
Ponder the wonderful cross.
I hope I find you there,
basking in the love of the Father.
He is the One who deeply loves you
and cares for you.
He is there
carrying your infirmities,
collecting every tear,
rejoicing when you rejoice,
and weeping when your soul has had its wear and tear.
You are never alone
and never abandoned.
I see the cross,
engrained forever in my memory.
The cross is a picture of the greatest love.
He is a love so true
and a love so dear.
He is a love that will never end.

Between Fear and Faith (Book Excerpt)

IMG_1929.JPG

The Bible says without faith it’s impossible to please God. In order to believe in God, there must be faith. We do not see Him the way we see people. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1).

Once we believe in God, I truly believe that’s just the beginning of the journey. The walk with God also includes believing God is who He says He is and will do everything He says He will do. There’s faith required to believe what He says in His word about us, about the future, and so much more.

It’s easy to talk about faith. It requires much more to live out our faith. Faith requires us to do something. When we believe God, we live differently. We experience peace and joy. We cease worrying.

God loves to show up in the lives of those who believe. God loves it when we place confidence in Him.

Fear is one of the many things that comes to choke out faith. It’s a belief that something or someone is more powerful than God. Fear is misplaced faith.

I’d love to tell you I’ve lived or live a 100% fearless life. That would be a lie. There are areas of my life where I have no fear, others where I cling to Jesus and ask for His courage. You won’t see me jumping out of a plane any time soon. 🙂

The Bible tells us to not be afraid because God knows we will be afraid. The more we experience His love, the more confidence we have in His ability to do what He says, including protect us.

Hope this book excerpt from I Thought I Knew What Love Was blesses you.

Between Faith and Fear

There is a place between faith and fear,
where the heart, mind, and the spirit battle for who will win.
There is a consistent tug-of-war,
an outcry;
“Is God here?
Will He answer?
How will I overcome?”
The mind can waver from firm belief
that God will do what He has promised,
to a place of no hope and no peace.
The heart can be so overjoyed,
standing on the mountain of promise
thinking, “This is for me, Lord.”
It can quickly shift its place to the valley
allowing the place of faith
to shift to fear asking, “Will God leave me here?”
The spirit shouts from the mountain top,
to the echo of the valley;
“God is who He says He is,
so do not worry and do not fear.”
This is an uncomfortable place,
the place between faith and fear.
The cold sweats,
the rapid pulse, and
the times of jubilee;
will all connected parts line up and take the leap?
Will there be the leap of faith that says,
“Though I cannot see,
I will still believe?”
Will there be the leap of faith
that says,
“I cannot feel,
but I will trust that God is real.
I will believe despite emotions
that God is good and has the most pure motives.”
Between faith and fear,
a choice must be made;
which one will decide our fate?
There is a blessing on the other side of faith;
will fear strangle it,
devour it, and
destroy it?
Or will faith overcome
and be victorious?
There is no life
on the other side of fear,
just limitations,
speculations,
worry,
and lack of participation.
Fear
strangles all ambition,
shatters all dreams,
destroys anything in its path,
and leaves nothing good to be seen.
On the path between faith and fear,
choose faith.
God will not disappoint you,
nor turn away from any promise He has made.

Do You Know Who You Are? (Book Excerpt)

It’s been while since I have posted something from the book (I Thought I Knew What Love Was) and thought today this one is a good follow-up to the last post Chosen. God has so many good things to say about His children. He loves us with an everlasting love. It is a love that cannot be earned or lost. We must refuse His love. We must refuse to believe His love.

This poem was written in 2008. So many challenging things were happening in my life at the time. My quiet times with God often led to me writing down what He was speaking to my spirit. Do You Know Who You Are? was a sweet reminder from Him of my secure identity in Him. Our identity in Him is so important. Once we fully believe who we are in Him and how much we mean to Him-fear, pride, insecurity, and the temptations of this world lose their weight.

I hope this post blesses your soul. Don’t forget who you are! A beloved child of the King of the Universe.

Do You Know Who You Are?

Do you know who you are?
Do you know who you really, truly are,
without the name of your natural father,
or the labels given to you by man?
For I have given you My name,
and I call you, “Chosen.”
If you knew who you were;
the integrity of the kernels of faith
and spiritual gifts I have placed inside you;
you would no longer bow your head in shame.
You would understand that for all your sins I stood in your place.
Do you know who you are?
You are not defined by your past,
or even your present.
Each day is just setting the stage to tell your story;
where you are,
is not where you are going.
I do not define you by what you have done,
what you are doing,
or what you will do.
I have placed My name on you.
Your body is My temple,
and I long to always reside with you.
When you sleep and rest in the night hours,
I am awake.
I am watching over you,
waiting enthusiastically until you awaken.
I am longing to meet with you
and shower you with My love.
My love is constant, steadfast, and as enduring as the sun.
Do you know who you are?
I have set you apart to be holy;
for I am Holy.
You are clothed in My righteousness.
You cannot earn My redemption.
It is freely given by your faith and obedience.
My love for you is not dependent upon what you do,
or what you fail to do.
What I accomplished on the cross is finished.
The veil was torn
and your access granted to the most sacred of all.
When you confess your sins
and forgive others,
you are forgiven.
Your slate is wiped completely clean.
My blood covers each and every sin,
so you no longer have to feel guilt or shame.
Do you know who you are?
If only you could see,
what I see.
I wish you could view yourself through My eyes,
the eyes of love.
I have embraced you in the darkness of the night,
knowing that I wanted you.
My heart’s desire was, and is, to search for you,
to look for you,
to pursue you;
what I have for you is beyond your wildest imaginings.
I long to give you more of Me.
I know that My love can satisfy even your most profound needs.
I created you,
looked upon you,
and smiled on who I had made.
I am shaping and molding you into the person I created you to be.
I want the world to get a glimpse of My glory.
I long to radiate from you,
for all the world to see
My glorious splendor.
I am the One who created everything.
There is not one who can rank above Me.
I am above all,
in all,
and I have the power to change, create, and breathe life into any dead
thing.
Your right now is simply an infinitesimal step along the journey
which leads you closer to Me.
No matter what label the world chooses to place on you,
the only significant one
is the one I have given,
and I have called you, My child.
I call you My friend,
My co-laborer,
My dearly loved one,
My family,
and most of all, I call you redeemed.
Do you know who you are?
If only you could see what I see,
for you were birthed with a purpose;
a story uniquely written for you.
I have the ability to turn even the fine particles of the earth
into something that is living and breathing.
Won’t you surrender your identity to Me?
Trust that I am the One who will make you complete.
You are not to be compared to any other human being.
I made you to be you,
and I have placed on you My fingerprints.
I placed together your DNA,
and there is no one exactly like you.
You are My masterpiece.
Don’t look to this world to define you;
look to Me.
I am the One who designed you.
I know everything about you.
I know every breath you take,
and your life is not in vain.
Into you I breathed life,
so I might use you
to reflect My image.
You are My image bearer.
Do you know who you are?
Do you understand the authority you have been given, in My name?
You were created to be about My business.
You were created to reach out to the least, the last, and the lost.
You were created to worship the Creator
and not created things.
Your life is not your own;
it was purchased with My blood.
I took your lashes.
I carried your infirmities.
I took the nails for you.
I took your shame.
You no longer stand condemned,
but freely can receive My grace.
Do you know who you are?
Chosen one,
you are set apart to bear the image of the King.
You are My child.
You are the one I love.
You are the one I adore,
and I know you personally.
Each breath you take is sweet music to My ears.
It is the sound of the breath I Myself have placed there.
I know you.
I made you for a reason.
Each gift, placed inside you, is to play an integral part
in reflecting My kingdom,
in reflecting My creativity, and My love.
You are not a mistake,
a mishap,
or a blip on the screen of life.
You are not insignificant;
I knew you before the foundations of the earth.
Before your parents knew you,
I called you by name
and said, “This one belongs to Me.”
I know your name,
and I will always know your name.
I cannot forget you.
I know the measure of your days;
I have them numbered,
and your time is written on My hands.
Your end will be better than the beginning,
if you will trust Me,
even with the things you don’t understand.
I am the God of all creation.
If you cannot answer who you are,
look to Me.
Do you know who I am?
I have created you in My image,
and I delight in all that I have made.
I do not make mistakes.
I love you, now,
and I will love you, always.
